2019 Field Trip Food Service Center Procedures

*Note: The full-service cafeteria is closed for remodeling this spring semester. We still have on-campus dining options available; however, the menu and prices slightly differ from the past. Thank you for working diligently with us while our Food Service Center (a.k.a The Caf) is undergoing renovations. 


Food Options: Please contact the ASU Outreach Coordinator two weeks before your visit with ONE chosen option for the children main entrées and total count for the teacher/chaperone selections. If there are any food allergies please inform the ASU Outreach Coordinator. 

Children Main Entrée selections (Select ONLY one entrée for group):

  • Hamburger
  • 3 piece Chicken Tender
  • Hot Dog
  • Pizza (2 slices)

Sides served with lunch (will receive with every child’s main entrée):

  • Bagged chips- assorted flavors
  • Fruit cup or package of fresh fruit (depends on availability)
  • Freshly baked cookie (no nuts or peanut butter): Chocolate Chip, Sugar, Oatmeal, or Brownie


  • Juice
  • Milk
  • Mini Water

Teacher/ Chaperone Lunch Menu selections: Wraps and Salad

  • Type of wrap: Sun-dried Tomato, Garlic Herb, or Spinach Wrap
  • Choose (1): Ham, Turkey, Roast Beef, or Italian Meat
  • Choose (1) cheese: Cheddar, Swiss, American, or Provolone
  • Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, or Spinach

Tax Exempt Forms:

  • Please bring your tax-exempt form with you. It must be printed (cannot be shown electronically).
  • You may choose to fax or email this ahead of time to (325)942-2078 or Please send the form at least two business days prior to your visit.
  • Seller information for tax exempt form: Chartwell’s; 1910 Rosemont Dr; San Angelo, TX 76909
  • If you have visited us before, it is still recommended to bring a new tax-exempt form for every visit. If you would like to use the one ASU has on file, please give us five-business days notice.

Payment Methods Accepted

  • Credit Card
    • You may bring a credit card with you to pay with at the food service center.
    • If you are unable to bring the credit card with you, payment may be made over the phone by calling (325) 942-2135 the morning of your tour.
  • Check: Checks should be payable to Chartwell’s.
  • Cash: Please collect cash from students prior to your visit.

Other Payment Information

  • P.O.s’ are not accepted.
  • Teachers, parents, and other chaperones may pay separately.
  • Individuals paying separately may be charged tax.
  • Students are not allowed to pay individually as it is too time consuming. If extenuating circumstances require a student to pay separately, they will be charged tax.
  • If you have students unable to eat the food provided in the food service center for various reasons and the student is required to bring their lunch, please contact the ASU Outreach Coordinator before your visit.
