ASU’s Bachelor of Science in health science professions is designed to help you find your interests within the health care industry. There are two tracks for this major:
This health science professions degree track is for students who wish to attend graduate school for athletic training, occupational therapy, physical therapy or other health professions.
This degree track prepares students for either graduate school in public health or to begin health care careers. Potential careers include, but are not limited to, medical and health services management, health education, health care administration, community health and pharmaceutical sales.
There is job security with a career in the health science professions. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that the health care industry will add four million jobs by 2022, more than any other industry. The Association of Schools of Public Health suggested an additional 250,000 public health workers would be needed by 2020 to avoid a workforce shortage.

The degree is designed to enhance multidisciplinary health care education and evidence-based principles to provide patient-centered care. Students will also develop communication, decision-marking, social, and analytical thinking skills necessary for professional practice.
