For transfer students specifically, start the transfer process early and ask questions! Get to know the transfer office and don’t be afraid to question why something did or did not transfer to the university. Also, make sure you apply early and send us all of the necessary information so we have time to process your application and enter your transfer work. I want to make the transition as easy and seamless as possible and try and make sure students are getting the maximum amount of transfer credit.
I came from a big city, so I wanted to go to college where I wouldn’t just be another number on a class roster. The professors at ASU are very dedicated to what they do and have an open-door policy so they take time to get to know every student. I was also really impressed with the television studio and the fact that I was able to work with the cameras my first semester. When I took a campus tour, I felt comfortable on campus and knew it was the university for me.
I love connecting with students about higher education. My goal is to make sure high school students understand everything about the college admissions process and they feel comfortable enough to come to me with any questions they have. I also love seeing them get excited when they are accepted to ASU, and seeing them succeed as students.
