After you have been admitted, begin completing the items listed below so that you will be prepared for your first semester at ASU.
After you have completed high school, request a copy of your Final Official Transcript (contains graduation date and official stamp/signature).
Your school may either provide you a hard copy in a sealed envelope or the school can send it electronically. For security reasons, do not email transcripts. Transcripts can be mailed to:
Office of Admissions
ASU Station #11014
San Angelo, TX 76909
If you participated in dual credit, you will also need to request a Final Official College Transcript directly from the college or university where you received the credit. If you need help finding out how to order your dual credit transcript, please visit our Transfer Transcript Order Webpage for more information and links to order transcripts from Texas colleges and universities. Electronic transcripts sent directly from the college or university are preferred and can allow for faster processing.

Attending orientation is the easiest way to get advised and get registered for classes. You’ll also learn about campus resources available to students.
At New Student Orientation, you will meet with an academic advisor. If you are considering changing your major, we recommend you do so before attending orientation to ensure that you get the most out of your advising and class registration sessions. To make that change, go to the Change Major Form under your Academic Profile in RamPort.
While at orientation, you’ll register for one of ASU’s Signature Courses. These classes help students transition to college life while learning more about an intellectual topic of their choice.
The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) was implemented to ensure students enrolled in Texas public colleges and universities possess the necessary academic skills to succeed. Please provide ASU with your TSI documentation prior to attending New Student Orientation.
Please fax your score report to 325-942-2553 or email the score report to email@example.com.
Deciding where you’re going to live is a crucial component of your college success.
If you choose to live on campus, complete our Housing Application and pay the $100 application fee.
Some students may have the option of living off campus during their first year at ASU. If you choose to stay off campus, you need to fill out the Request for Exemptions Form.
As you get further into the housing process, you can log in to RamPort to check on any housing holds and take proper actions to remove those holds.
Complete and submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online and designate Angelo State University as your receiving institution.
ASU offers more than 270 general scholarships that are not tied to specific degree programs. Submit the General Scholarship Application to be eligible. At this time, all general scholarships for the academic year 2020-2021 have been awarded.
State law requires all incoming students not meeting an exemption to show proof of receiving a bacterial meningitis vaccination. Please fax proof of your bacterial meningitis vaccination to 325-942-2553 or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The ASU OneCard is the official identification card for ASU students. You’ll use it with your campus meal plan and for access to the residence hall buildings. You’ll also need it to verify that you are a student at some campus events and activities.
If you plan to drive to your classes or park a vehicle at your residence hall, you’ll need to purchase an ASU parking permit.
