Departmental Highlights

  • Small classes allow faculty members to form close relationships with students. Our faculty are dedicated to helping students develop language and critical thinking skills as well as cultural awareness.
  • Several departmental scholarships are available for upper-level students.
  • Enrichment programs include coffee and conversation sessions in Spanish, German, French and Russian; foreign language films; foreign travel; the annual Foreign Language Competition; foreign language clubs; and the modern language honor societies, Alpha Mu Gamma, Sigma Delta Pi and Delta Phi Alpha.
  • Students are encouraged to participate in study abroad programs through the ASU Center for International Studies.
