Departmental Highlights

  • Students taking our game development course sequence have access to the Entertainment Computing Laboratory (ECL), which features high-speed computers equipped with software for 3-D modeling and animation, graphics programming, audio programming, network/physics programming, PC game development and handheld game development. 
  • Our computer game development program was named one of the “Top 50 Undergraduate Game Design Programs” in the U.S. by the Princeton Review.
  • Coursework in our department covers artificial intelligence, graphics, software engineering and database systems, among other areas.
  • ASU has seven computer labs equipped with up-to-date microcomputers. Available software includes Microsoft Windows, electronic spreadsheets and database, word processing and graphics packages. Development software such as C, C++, Visual Basic, Java and Oracle is also available.
