Our general finance degree is oriented toward corporate financial management, financial services and investment management.
The finance degree/real estate option meets the Texas Real Estate Commission’s education requirements for a salesperson’s license. The program covers real estate sales, appraisal, management, development and investment.
Our finance degree/personal financial planning option is registered with the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) Board and focuses on individual financial planning, including investments, tax planning, retirement planning and estate planning.
Highly qualified faculty in the department have doctorates and/or professional certifications, such as CFP® professional, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Juris Doctor (JD).
Students in the department are encouraged to get involved with Delta Sigma Pi, a professional fraternity for students pursuing careers in business.
