Halloween Happenings at the Library

Friday, October 31, 2014 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Are you dressing up for Halloween and would like to win a prize?  Is your “costume” simply changing from pajamas into pants, but you still want to win a prize?  If you answered yes to either question, please come on over!

On Friday, October 31st the Porter Henderson Library will celebrate Halloween with two chances to win a prize.

First: we are having a costume contest and will be available to take pictures of students who come into the Library wearing costumes and want to participate in our Facebook Costume Contest. The pictures taken between 10:00am and 2:00pm and will be uploaded onto the Angelo State Library’s Facebook page throughout this time period for voting. (Hint: ask all your friends and family to “Like” your picture.) Voting ends at 2:30pm (Hint: if you come early your photo has more time to collect likes). The costume with the most likes wins! The winner will be announced at 3:00pm and will receive a goody basket that will be to die for!

Second: if you are not wearing a costume, but are up for a challenge, we will also have several other opportunities to win prizes that only require your brain. Although it is Halloween, we will not require you to GIVE us your brain but will make it work hard!!

The fun begins at 10am and ends at 2pm. Look for the festivities in the Learning Commons and stop by for your chance to win a prize. Don’t be shy, come on over, we promise not to bite! Also, be sure to check out the Library Staff’s Display of decorated pumpkins!
